Week 6 – Life Education Van and a Christmassy visit to Roves Farm

On Monday, Sycamore went into the Life Education van to meet Harold the giraffe and learn about healthy eating and keeping our bodies fit and healthy.

We really enjoyed this visit and learnt a lot about our bodies. Thank you 😊

At the beginning of Collective Worship on Tuesday we were welcomed by carols played by  violins. It was beautiful…

On Wednesday we went to Roves Farm with Oak Class and had a great, and exhausting, day!

We petted the guinea pigs and rabbit and feed the white and Pygmy goats.

It was then time to get ready for the nativity story. Everyone had a part to play….it was beautiful.

After lunch we went in the Tiger and Rabbit Warren play areas

and then ended our day with a craft session.

Thank you Croft Farm for a fun packed day.

We had a very quiet journey home…

We will bring our beautiful creations home Friday 😃

Please remember that we have a mufti day tomorrow for our PTA Christmas hampers and that there is a whole school meeting at 2:45pm.

Performances, Maths and Hot Tasks

Last week was such a busy week….

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were performance focused, with a dress rehearsal and three performances. You were all amazing and is was most definitely a 10 from Mrs Chapman,👏💃🕺🏻🎄🐪🐑

In class we have been looking at Geometry in maths-2D and 3D shape. Look at all the fantastic shapes we have used…

We can use lots of mathematical vocabulary to describe the properties of 2D and 3D shapes. We have also described the patterns, building and sorting we have made this week.

This theme continued in computing where we used Bee-Bot on the iPad to give directions to Bee-Bot to get him around increasingly difficult mazes.

We have also completed our English hot tasks

On Friday we had Golden Time in class and everyone wanted to share their work…
