We gave Mrs Partis instructions to make food for the Bog Babies for our picnic next week. We also had a go at writing the instructions on a whiteboard. Then we put the food into pots to hang up for the Bog Babies.
This afternoon we had our Mothers’ Day Service followed by tea and cakes for our families. We have enjoyed making flowers for our mothers this week and practising our handwriting to write our messages.
We are making new habitats for our Bog Babies and decided we needed to make their homes special and safe. The children were concerned about the Bog Babies after their stormy adventures and wanted to ensure that their homes were waterproof too. We investigated different materials for the roof and tested which let water through.
In in the end we found the plastic materials were best as they were waterproof.
We had a special assembly this morning from the NSPCC who talked to the children about keeping safe and speaking out about anything that is worrying them. They discussed Childline and launched the upcoming sponsored danceathon. Please have a look in book bags for the leaflet and sponsor form. These need to be back by Monday 20th March.
