We have been using money today and calculating change. We did lots of role play and worked hard to be accurate.
Other Shows and Tells were a little more creepy !
We had a very exciting Monday. We started by learning a new skill with a special visiting teacher. She taught us Orienteering and we worked with Year 2 to solve lots of puzzles. We had a brilliant time and got very muddy.
Today we explored our senses and took part in different experiments. We loved being scientists and reporting back to class mates about what we found.
Some of us had stinky smells, others played ‘Kims game’ to discover missing objects and the rest were brave enough to put their hand in the feely bag to investigate mystery items.
We’ve been working really hard this week with money. We have been finding totals and problem solving with coins. We are looking forward to using these skills in our new coin bingo.
We are still basing our topic and English work on Where the Wild Things Are. We’ve been sharing stories and discussing what is similar and different about them.
We love our new Wild Things cave too.
We are busy exploring our topic of Humans and other animals. We have been using the book “Where the Wild Things Are” linking our topic and English.
In Maths we have been counting in 10s, finding number pairs to 8, 9 and 10, and doubling numbers.
A super start.
